Dr. McDonald
Dr. Donald T McDonald is a fellowship-trained foot & ankle surgeon specializing in advanced reconstruction. He is also the founder of Wisconsin Foot & Ankle Clinic located in Brookfield, Wisconsin.
Dr. McDonald has been trained by some of the world’s best foot & ankle surgeons. Since his days as a medical student at Des Moines University, Dr. McDonald completed residency in the city of Detroit at St. John Hospital. This rigorous program offered exposure to diabetic care & limb salvage, elective surgeries, lower limb reconstruction and trauma. In addition, residents received a well-rounded experience in specialties like internal medicine, infectious disease, vascular surgery, emergency medicine and general surgery.
Dr. McDonald is also one of only a few podiatric surgeons to complete a 1-year fellowship training program with American Health Network in Indianapolis, IN. The AHN program focused on reconstruction, revision, trauma and ankle replacement surgeries.
He continues to advance his skills, keeping up to date with the latest research and techniques to better help his patients.
Dr. McDonald was raised in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, oldest of four siblings in an active family. Part of a successful high school running program, he was able to continue competing for Marquette University on scholarship. Today, Dr. McDonald continues to be an avid athlete and runner, bringing a love of functional movement to the practice to help his patients.
